This sports car maintains the three-seat format with the central driving position of the 1992 McLaren F1. It features a manual transmission and a naturally aspirated V12 engine that increases its displacement to 4.3 liters, producing 690 horsepower and redlining at 12,100 rpm, delivering a phenomenal sound. As its creator notes, the engine bay even features thermal protection made of 18-karat gold. This initial example of what the Special Vehicles division is capable of appears to have convinced the market, as the first unit of only five planned for total production reached an astonishing price at the ‘The Special One’ auction in Las Vegas during the 2025 F1 Las Vegas GP week, selling for nearly $20 million, making it the most expensive new car ever auctioned.
Rolls-Royce Boat Tail

In 2020, Rolls-Royce revived its coachbuilding department (carrossiers who, as in the early 20th century, create bespoke commissions for each client) to craft the closest automotive equivalent to a luxurious pleasure yacht. Its name is the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail. This luxurious four-seater convertible is based on the Phantom Drophead Coupé, powered by a 6.75-liter V12 engine producing 600 horsepower. Its design clearly draws inspiration from nautical themes, evident in its elegant two-tone blue exterior paint and its interior, finished with the same wood used in luxury yachts. In fact, its rear conceals a compartment equipped with everything needed for the most lavish picnic. To date, Rolls-Royce has produced three units.

The first to arrive at ‘The Quail 2023’ was ‘La Rose Noire Droptail,’ inspired by a specific rose variety that holds particular affection for the commissioning owners, hence its exotic black and red paint with dark reflections. The interior utilizes black sycamore wood. Subsequently, the Rolls-Royce Amethyst Droptail arrived, featuring a closed-body format and paint inspired by amethyst, serving as a tribute to the owner’s son, who was born under the protection of this gem. Finally, in 2024, the Rolls-Royce Arcadia Droptail was presented, created for a client in Singapore. This is a two-seater roadster finished in luminous tones, designed to evoke an atmosphere of tranquility and harmony.
